　　《蓝胡子的第八任妻子》全部故事是对清教徒社会风气的嘲讽：既然影坛的清洁活动如火如荼，连在婚姻注册署办了正式手续的结发夫妻也被褫夺同睡一张床的权利，那爽性拍部太太不愿圆房的戏好了，包保没有触违忌讳的危险。具有七次光辉婚姻记载的富贵男配角，终究解除万难把心仪的女子追得手，但捕风捉影的第八任妻子虽然愿意成婚，却感觉他不管若何不会相信自己嫁入朱门为的不是钱，因而对峙守身如玉，要直到证实他不再对自己的至心存疑，才肯在床上尽做妻子的义务。脱了裤子放屁的桥段，由此外导演处置大要凶多吉少，但是由刘别谦烹饪，就是一道色香味俱全的佳肴——“画蛇添足”甚至成了对不幸复可笑的男配角的讥讽。
