◎简　　介
　　卡尔（马特·狄龙 Matt Dillon饰）和莫利（凯特·哈德森 Kate Hudson饰）的新婚生活眼看就要甜甜蜜蜜的铺开，此时却来了个不速之客：卡尔的老友杜普瑞（欧文·威尔逊 Owen Wilson饰）。这个家伙行为怪异，思惟奇异，有自己一套慵懒惰漫的生活方式。现在他倒了大霉，被公司解雇，随后无家可归，好心的卡尔收留他住下，并不介意杜普瑞给自己新婚生活带来的麻烦。                                    
                                杜普瑞的生活上的各种疯狂行动却已经让莫利忍无可忍，那些近乎荒谬的生活闹剧严重地影响了夫妻两人原本安静的生活。但是出人料想的是，杜普瑞跟街坊们孤芳自赏，个个都遭到他性情的传染。与之相反的是，卡尔的工作很是忙碌，分给家庭的时候日渐削减。因而杜普瑞更像是这里的男仆人。不止邻人，就连莫利，也渐渐爱好上这个电灯泡。这个三人同居的窘境，到了非处理不成的境界。
