◎简　　介　
　　在很久之前的悠远星系中，“炮弹一族”因其魁首的愚蠢，耗尽了自己星球的大气，因而计划夺取邻近的朱迪亚星球的纯洁空气。在朱迪亚星球维斯帕公主（达芙妮•祖尼加 Daphne Zuniga 饰）婚礼前夜，炮弹族总统斯古（梅尔•布鲁克斯 Mel Brooks 饰）派出黑帽子大人率领巨型战舰绑架维斯帕，以威胁朱迪亚方面就范。维斯帕拒绝没有恋爱的婚姻挑选逃婚，却堕入了炮弹族巨舰的追击，这时，由于欠高利贷在太空中奔逃的太空牛仔“孤星”（比尔•普尔曼 Bill Pullman 饰）与半人半狗的同伴巴夫受朱迪亚国王所托，出头将维斯帕救走。炮弹族岂肯善罢甘休，正邪势力在太空上演了又一场苦战……
◎幕后揭秘
　　本片导演生于纽约布鲁克林的犹太区。长大到14岁四周的人就教他若何击鼓，然后加入乐队到夜总会演奏。有一次在小乡镇的一家旅店演奏时，恰遇笑剧搭挡休假，姑且请他客串表演，不意大受接待。未几，他替红艺人薜特席沙写电视节目标剧本。他们的笑剧大受美国观众的接待。因而其他电视台也纷纷来请他写剧本。甚至百老汇舞台也来找他。同时他也写了很多畅销曲的歌词。1968年从影，第一部电影是《制片人》，一身兼制片、编剧、导演。该片获得了1968年奥斯卡最好编剧奖，他是当前美国影坛最精采的新笑剧导演。本片中他既是导演又是演员，诙谐的表演了一剧科幻笑剧。
